SPM erfa-groups
Join the Association of Reliability and Environmental Engineering (SPM) to gain insights into experience and new trends within electronics development, production and testing.
Technological development is accelerating rapidly. It requires significant resources to keep up. SPM supports your company in utilizing available opportunities. Reinventing the wheel every time is not necessary. By participating in a network, companies can access accumulated experience and also share their own insights with others. Around 60 companies have done so as members of SPM.
Joint effort
SPM is an association for electronics and mechatronics companies, suppliers of materials and components for electronics, and for the many companies that use electronics in their products. Participation in SPM provides a strong and important foundation for companies' efforts to maintain competitiveness, ensure market access, and safeguard product safety, thereby reducing the risk of product liability cases. Through a joint effort, companies can achieve more from limited research and development resources.
SPM’s activities are intended to provide all member companies with new knowledge and experience. The activities are initiated by the members and organized to ensure that all members have influence through the designated contact person in the company.
The main activities of the association are:
- Sharing experiences in working groups (erfa-groups)
- Conducting studies (SPM projects)
Erfa-groups
Erfa-group collaboration is one of the most effective ways to stay updated within a specific specialist field. In SPM’s erfa-groups, specialists from member companies meet according to the group’s theme. Groups consist of 10–25 participants. Meetings are held as needed, typically 3–4 times per year.
SPM has the following erfa-groups:
- Group 5: Compliance Engineering
- Group 6: Reliability
- Group 8: Production Technology
- Group 9: EMC
- Group 10: Environmental Testing and Construction
- Group 11: Planning and Development of Production Testing
- Group 13: Thermally Appropriate Equipment Design
- Group 16: Failure Mechanisms in Electronics
- Group 17: HALT/HASS
- Group 20: DFMA – Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
- Group 21: SPM Master Class
- Group 22: Structural Simulation of Mechanical Systems
- Group 23: Medical Device Design Verification Testing
- P2 PoF Klubben
