Get access to practical knowledge, methods and sparring that can strengthen your work in specifying the right hygienic design to meet the needs of the food industry.

In the network, we delve into practical dilemmas in the design phase, such as how to balance hygienic functionality requirements against lifetime costs, sustainability and meeting third-party certification requirements that many food manufacturers must meet.

Hygienic design is today the standard for everyone who supplies equipment to the food industry, but many experience challenges in ensuring the right coordination between supplier and customer, as well as interpreting what is sufficient in terms of legislation. Therefore, we will work with the following from a business perspective:

  • Identification of the most effective tools for identifying end-user needs and for highlighting the benefits of hygienic design in the life cycle of process plants
  • Application of new guidelines for hygienic design from primarily the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG)
  • Tools for risk assessment of hygienic design, which today must be carried out by both end-user and supplier
  • Ensuring that you use materials that are compatible with food in the future
  • How do you ensure traceability and necessary documentation throughout the value chain?

In the network, you will be updated on EU legislation, European and international standards, new guidelines and other topics that affect value chains, where primarily stainless steel is used to process food. There is a focus on how new requirements and advances can be utilized strategically and can help strengthen your company's competitiveness.

Who is the network for?

The network group for hygienic design is aimed at companies that specify and/or produce process equipment and production lines for the food and ingredient industry, as well as companies that produce products and use the same equipment themselves.

The network gives you access to:

  • Practical knowledge and methods
  • Sparring on design choices and risk assessment
  • Insight into upcoming EU requirements, new standards and guidelines
  • Exchange of experience with other companies
